There are so many reasons to cloth diaper! Many people first turn to cloth because of environmental concerns, but there are also issues of health, convenience (yes, really!) and cost to consider.

1. It's convenient
These are not your mother's cloth diapers! There are no pins, and with a diaper service there is no rinsing or soaking diapers. You simply fold the diaper in thirds and secure it with a cover that uses Velcro-type tabs. When you're done with the diaper, just toss it in the diaper pail. 2. It costs the same or less than disposables
Many people assume a diaper service is costly, but we've tried to make our service less expensive than using disposables. Of course, the savings depends on which disposable you compare cloth to, but consider also that babies diapered in cloth potty train up to a year earlier. 3. It's better for the environment
It may not seem like much, one diaper at a time, but at a rate of 70 diapers a week for 3 years, EACH child uses more than 10,000 diapers before potty training. Disposables are estimated to take 200-500 years to decompose, which means EVERY disposable diaper ever used is still sitting in a landfill! Each year, about 1 ton of untreated waste is sent to landfills inside disposable diapers. It takes oil, trees and energy to manufacture each diaper, meant for only a single use. In contrast, cloth diapers are made from a renewable resource, they are used multiple times, they have many uses once they are retired from service, and they are biodegradable. 4. It's better for your baby's health and development
There are about 60 different chemicals in a disposable diaper. Don't take the risk of putting these unknowns in YEARS of constant contact with your baby's sensitive bottom. Recent studies have already found links between disposables and asthma and male infertility. In contrast, cloth diapers have been found to lower the incidence of diaper rash and lead to earlier potty training – about a year earlier, on average. There are side benefits, too
A cotton diaper isn't just a diaper. It's a burp cloth, a light blanket, a changing pad, a hand towel, and lots of other things. It provides more cushion for your baby's bottom. It also shows the world that you care to give your baby the very best. It's much more fun to share the joy of cloth diapering with other parents than to waste time clipping coupons for disposables.
